New Apple Ipod Touch 4th Generation released
The New Ipod Touch 4th Generation was introduced recently by Apple. The 4th Generation iPod touch has many new features and most certainly improves on the 3rd Generation models.
The new iPod touch is similar in design to the popular Apple Iphone 3g. It is thinner than previous models and has a tapered back. The new model iPod touch also comes with an exterior volume control as well as a built-in speaker, but unfortunately does not come with a built-in microphone, so there is a need to purchase the new Apple headphones that include a microphone on the cord.

- HD Video recording (records 720p high-definition video)
- 3-Axis Gyroscope for gaming (better responsiveness)
- High resolution Retina Display screen
- Apple A4 processor
- Version 2.1 of the Ipod Touch Firmware
- Genius recommendation service
- Nike+
- Environmentally-friendly components (constructed with arsenic-free glass and BFR-free, mercury-free, PVC-free, and highly-recyclable components)
A software update is free for those updating from 2.x, but will cost a few Dollars for those upgrading from 1.x.
The new Ipod Touch 4th Generation can already be ordered from various retailers and online sellers such as Apple Store, Amazon.com and PriceGeneration.com. The recommended itouch price points are:
$229 – Apple Ipod Touch 8GB
$299 – Apple Ipod Touch 32gb
$399 – Apple iPod touch 64GB
Apple has sold more than 250 million iPods since they launched the product in 2003. The growth in iPod sales peaked in the first quarter of 2009 with the iPod 3rd Generation model and have only marginally slowed down since then. The introduction of the Apple Ipod Touch 4th Generation models will certainly increase Apple’s very impressive iPod sales figures even further.
